Options Add To Spectrum Analyzer Versatility
The DSA815 all-digital RF spectrum analyzer from Ohio-based Rigol Technologies Inc. covers a frequency range of 9kHz to 1.5GHz.
The $1,295 compact unit offers a typical displayed average noise level of -135dBm, offset phase noise of -80dBc/Hz at10kHz and a total amplitude uncertainty of <1.5dB – suitable for benchtop or field apps in RF and wireless testing and production. Its digital IF design technology lets users measure smaller signals by enabling smaller bandwidth settings, thereby reducing the displayed average noise level.
Standard functions include AM/FM demodulation and a preamplifier plus such optional enhancements as an EMI filter and quasi-peak detector kit, and a 1.5GHz tracking generator. The $200 Tracking Generator option allows techs to use the device as a VSWR tester with a bridge or to connect to test passive and active RF components. The generator also functions as a static signal source generator from 10MHz to 1.5GHz by setting the spectrum analyzer to zero span mode.

Galtronics Gains Momentum For DAS Antennas
Galtronics Corp. Ltd. of Tiberias, Israel, reports growing momentum for its PEAR™ in-building DAS antenna line with the availability of an additional dual-polarized MIMO and two vertically-polarized antennas. The new antennas support the broad coverage, throughput and high data rates driven by a growing wireless industry shift to 4G/LTE networks.
The product update includes the availability of Galtronics’ broadband antenna PEAR S4935, a single-port vertically-polarized antenna covering a broad range of frequencies from 698MHz up to 6000MHz, and PEAR S4934, a very small form factor antenna covering 1.7GHz up to 6GHz. The engineered radiation patterns of these antennas are optimized for in-building ceiling mount applications. This allows the antenna to be installed above the ceiling or through the ceiling without degradation in performance.

RF Sleeve for Frequencies in UHF to Microwave
The Venti™ RF suppression sleeve is a patent-pending EMI/RFI solution that replaces the need for higher costing 1/4 wave chokes, stubs and ferrite cores. The Venti sleeve suppresses coax and cable radiation (EMI/RFI) that distorts antenna patterns and affects components and devices inter-connected by cable assemblies.

3M Embedded Capacitance Material Offerings
3M Electronic Solutions Division is offering a new Embedded Capacitance Material (ECM). The new line of ECM solutions has high capacitance density and they are halogen-free.
The new halogen-free solutions will enable design engineers to significantly enhance power integrity and minimize EMI. In addition, they aid them to deliver higher speed digital signals, high signal-to-noise ratio in radio frequencies and hi-fidelity signals in a wide range of applications including consumer electronics, IC packaging, microphones, high-performance RF boards and small form factor PC hardware. Engineers can now significantly reduce high-frequency noise with the use of 3M’s new line of highest capacitance density ECM solutions.
The ECM material can be implanted IC chip packages and printed circuit boards (PCBs). RFI Filters from Fuseco
