ETS-Lindgren Becomes CTIA Authorized Test Lab
ETS-Lindgren has been named the first Cellular Telecommunications
and Internet Association (CTIA) Authorized Test Lab (CATL)
for mobile station over-the-air antenna performance testing.
Manufacturers who want CTIA certification must have their
wireless devices CATL-tested using the CTIAs over-the-air
antenna test procedure in order to display the associations
certification mark on their product.
ETS-Lindgrens CATL is accredited by A2LA, which has
mutual recognition agreements with other accreditation systems
worldwide. Also, the companys laboratory equipment calibrations
are National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST)-traceable,
and test processes are computer controlled for repeatability
and data tracking.
ETS-Lindgrens CATL testing is performed using an AMS-8000
system. The system, manufactured by the company, includes
a tapered anechoic chamber, a multi-axis positioning system
(MAPS), and EMQuest EMQ-100 pattern measurement
software. A growing number of leading wireless equipment manufacturers
and test labs throughout the world have purchased similar
AMS-8000 systems.
An international manufacturer of components and systems to
measure, shield, and control electromagnetic and acoustic
energy, ETS-Lindgren has products that are used for EMC, microwave
and wireless testing, EMF measurement, RF personal safety
monitoring, and sound control.
ETS-Lindgren is headquartered in Cedar Park, Texas, with manufacturing
facilities in the USA, Europe and Asia.
