TIMCAL Price Increase

TIMCAL Graphite & Carbon of Bondio, Switzerland, has announced a global price increase for all of its products. The price increase will be applied to each product family, which includes the TIMREX® line (natural graphite, synthetic graphite and cokes), ENSACO® & SUPER P® (carbon blacks) and TIMROC® (silicon carbides). The increase is effective January 2008 and the amount of the increase will vary depending upon the grade and market areas.

“This price increase is required to help offset the continuing cost increases in energy and raw materials. Although the TIMCAL Group is still committed to continuously optimizing its manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and absorb operating costs increases, this price adjustment to our products is unavoidable,”says Fabrizio Corti, TIMCAL vice president of sales and marketing.
