Emergency Battery Pack for High-Wattage Lamps

Appleton has upgraded its Mercmaster III Emergency Battery Pack luminaire to better address emergency lighting requirements in hazardous industrial locations, such as oil refineries, chemical plants and foundries, where explosive gases may be present.

The unit, now featuring an electronic ballast suited for higher wattage lamps up to 84W, is one of the highest rated emergency lighting fixtures currently on the market.

Designed to provide “instant on” emergency lighting in walkways, catwalks, stairs and aisles in the event of a blackout, the fixture is also UL listed for continuous and semi-continuous normal usage in industrial areas prone to excessive moisture, severe weather conditions, dirt, dust and corrosion. It comes enclosed and gasketed for superior environmental protection, plus features an epoxy-powder coat finish that offers nearly three times the corrosion-resistant protection of standard painted finishes.
