Audiovox to Buy Technuity

Audiovox Corp.’s accessories unit plans to purchase battery maker Technuity for $16.5 million before potential debt and earn-out payments. Technuity is the exclusive licensee of the Energizer battery brand in North America.

Audiovox expects the deal to add more than $30 million to its sales annually, with higher margins than its main business of selling wireless communications equipment.
