Baysun's Mobile Power Source Lasts 10-12 Hours

Battery manufacturer Baysun Co. has developed a supplementary power source that provides 10A and a maximum 24V of direct current for 10 to 12 hours, reports The Nikkei Business Daily.

The ARCA-EX is designed for the carts used in factories and medical facilities, providing electric power for notebook computers and other equipment on the carts.

Baysun hopes to sell 1,000 units a month. The ARCA-EX will retail for ¥120,000 to ¥170,000. An inverter for converting DC to 100-volt AC will be priced at ¥50,000.

The predecessor to the ARCA-EX provides only 3A and a maximum of 19V DC. Both versions use Li-ion batteries, so they are smaller and lighter than rival products that use conventional lead-acid batteries.
