Celgard Facility Expands

Polypore International Inc. is expanding its Celgard, LLC battery separator facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. This strategic expansion is expected to increase production capacity of Celgard’s trilayer separators by 25%. The new capacity will be available by the summer of 2008. In addition to enhancing Celgard’s ability to supply existing and new customers’ demands, the expansion will augment the company’s product portfolio through the implementation of process and product improvements.

Celgard has delivered market-leading battery separator products for over 30 years.
