TATA Green Batteries Launched
TATA Autocompany Batteries Private Ltd. (TGY) has launched TATA green batteries in Madhya Pradesh, India. “TATA green batteries are manufactured using stringent global quality standards and processes with care being taken to ensure highest level of eco-friendliness at every stage,” said TATA marketing head Rajendra Malik.
TGY is a 50:50 joint venture company between TATA Autocomp Systems Private Ltd. and Japan-based GS Yuasa International. GYIN’s advanced technology ensures that the batteries do not require top-ups or even maintenance for the first 100,000 kilometers. The distinctive design of a calcium-calcium battery minimizes water loss, reduces self-discharge, increases storage time and provides best protection from acid spillage and sparks.
So far the company has launched these batteries in 15 states, and within six months it will provide all ranges of batteries including that for inverters.
