Enova Announces Corporate Succession Plan
Edwin Riddell, CEO of Enova Systems in Torrance, California, will retire on October 1. Mike Staran has been named president and chief operating officer of the company, effective July 1. On Riddell’s retirement, Staran is anticipated to assume the CEO responsibilities.
In January, Staran was named Enova’s executive vice president, where he was responsible for sales and marketing, operations, procurement, engineering and investor relations. He has been integral in Enova’s development of business with International Truck and Engine, IC Corp., Wrightbus, Verizon, and Tanfield.
Staran has over 24 years of experience in business development, product management, sales and marketing, and engineering. Recently he was the president of Effective Solutions People LLC. His prior work history ranges from Ford, General Motors and DaimlerChrysler to suppliers such as Johnson Controls Inc. and Decoma International, where he was vice president of sales and marketing for 13 years. He holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in mathematics from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan.
