EnerSys Restructures European Operations
EnerSys in Reading, Pennsylvania, plans to restructure its European production and commercial operations to facilitate the integration of its recent acquisition of Energia AD of Bulgaria. Energia provides additional access to the Eastern European and Russian markets as well as an additional low-cost manufacturing platform.
The move is designed to improve operational efficiencies and eliminate redundant costs primarily attributable to the Energia transaction. The restructuring should be completed by March 31, 2008.
