Company Adds New Production Line

Advanced Battery Technologies Inc. of Harbin, China, is installing a new production line specializing in mine lamp manufacturing and featuring new cordless lamps powered by the company’s compact rechargeable polymer-lithium-ion (PLI) batteries. Production is expected to start this month and the annual capacity of the line will be about 100,000 units. The new headlamps are expected to sell for $38 per unit.

“The new production line represents our effort in vertical integration, which will enable us to not only sell batteries but the products that use our batteries,” says Zhiguo Fu, chairman and CEO of the company.
