PowerGenix Selects Manufacturing Partner

PowerGenix Inc. of San Diego, California, has an agreement with Hunan Corun Hi-Tech Co. Ltd. of China for high volume production and Asian distribution of its innovative high-rate discharge, sealed rechargeable nickel-zinc (NiZn) batteries.

“Nickel zinc has always been the holy grail of chemical composition,” says Joseph A. Carcone, vice president of PowerGenix. “The limiting factor has been reliability and cycle life, which PowerGenix has solved.”
