Greatbatch Introduces nanoSVOT Technology

Greatbatch Inc. of Clarence, New York, has qualified its first battery model to incorporate nanoSVO™ for use in next-generation implantable medical devices.

This marks a dramatic advancement in the clinically-proven silver vanadium oxide (SVO) high-rate battery product line. nanoSVO™ results from a proprietary, highly efficient synthesis process that vastly improves cathode material homogeneity, yielding more reliable and superior battery performance.
