Electrotherm Introducing a Three-Wheeler

Electrotherm of India will enter the three-wheeler segment with a battery-run autorickshaw in June, reports The Economic Times. "It will run for 100km once the battery is charged. The cost per kilometer will also be reduced drastically," says Avinash Bhandari, Electrotherm's director. Its maximum speed will be 50 to 60 kilometers per hour. The company plans to roll-out around 2,000 to 2,500 units in the first year. Within two years, it expects to commercially launch a 15-100 seat hybrid electric bus.
