Tatar Joins PowerGenix
Todd F. Tatar has joined the management team of PowerGenix Inc. of San Diego, California, as vice president of product development. He is now responsible for implementing new product design elements and bringing PowerGenix's nickel-zinc sealed rechargeable battery products to market in the near future.
Tatar joins PowerGenix from SANYO Energy (USA) Corp. where he was responsible for battery product development, production implementation and information technology. During his 15-year tenure at SANYO, Tatar held high-level director, engi-neering, ERP operations and sales management positions.
He brings nearly 25 years of expertise with him, having also held senior positions with Martin Marietta Aerospace, Gould Electronics and GE Automation Systems. He holds a B.S. in chemistry and a B.S. in engineering from the University of South Florida.
Power Genix's CEO Dan Squiller said, "His decision to join us speaks to the strength of our technology and the potenial for our cells to offer the first attractive alternative to NiCd and NiMH in many large segments."
