Saturn Vue Is Cheapest Hybrid SUV

The Saturn Vue Green Line is now being produced in Tennessee. It offers 27mpg in the city and 32mpg on the open highway. GM is positioning the car as the most affordable hybrid SUV available. The base price is about $23,000, which is $2,000 more than the standard Vue.

Most hybrid SUVs cost $3,500 more than the gas alternative, but the Vue uses a simpler system which runs on the electric motor less often.
