Enova Selects Cobasys

Enova Systems of Torrance, California, has selected Cobasys of Orion, Michigan, to provide NiMHax 336-70 battery systems, installation and technical support for integration into commercial service vans for a major North American fleet operator. The NiMH battery system is part of Cobasys’ standard pack architecture designed to be a fully integrated “plug-and-play” package for easy installation into hybrid electric vehicles.

This lightweight, compact, liquid-cooled, NiMHax battery system uses Cobasys’ flexible high power Series 1000 battery modules. Features include fully integrated battery management system hardware and software, redundant safety controls, packaging, wiring, and thermal management based on a newly developed liquid cooling system that optimizes high power HEV performance. Fully integrated control algorithms have also been implemented to help optimize the energy management functions and product durability.
