Weston Presidio Acquires Micro Power

Weston Presidio of Menlo Park, California, has acquired Micro Power Electronics of Hillsboro, Oregon, from Sierra Ventures and Palisades Ventures. Micro Power is a global leader in portable power solutions for mission-critical equipment and provides custom battery solutions to leading portable medical, rugged handheld computing and commercial military equipment manufacturers. It is a pioneer in developing lithium battery systems and smart battery packs, and acccounts for more than 70% of the automatic external defibrillator business.
