Firefly Energy Expands Board of Directors
Firefly Energy Inc. has added two new members
to its board of directors, both employees of Caterpillar,
Inc.: Mark Pflederer, vice president with responsibility
for the technology and solutions division and
chief technology officer, and Mak Mirhakimi, general
manager for the OEM solutions group.
“It is clear that Mark and Maks’ extensive
engineering and new product development experience
will be invaluable to Firefly Energy,” said
Edward F. Williams, CEO.
Pflederer and Mirhakimi join six other prominent
leaders from industry, finance and government
on the board.
Firefly Energy Inc. produces and licenses advanced
lead-acid battery technologies based on a material
sciences innovation discovered by Caterpillar
Inc. and just patented on December 27 (see U.S.
6,979,513).
