Battery Ventures Promotes Christopher Schiavo
Battery Ventures, a venture capital firm, has
promoted Christopher Schiavo to chief financial
officer. Schiavo joined the firm in 2000 as controller,
and was promoted to vice president of finance
in 2002. As CFO, he will oversee Battery Venture’s
financial reporting and treasury functions, including
all portfolio company finan-cings. He also will
manage additional back office functions including
the firm’s IT infrastructure.
“Chris has been a key contributor to enhancing
our franchise and treasury operations, and we’re
confident his experience and leadership will add
to the continued success of the partnership,”
said Chris Hanson, Battery Ventures’s chief
operating partner.
Prior to Battery Ventures, Schiavo held several
positions at Fidelity Investments, most recently
director of corporate accounting. He earned a
B.S. in business administration and economics
from SUNY Oswego and an MBA from University of
Rochester. He is a Massachusetts-licensed CPA.
