EnerSys Wins Contracts Worth Over $20 Million

Industrial battery maker EnerSys Inc. has signed contracts worth more than $20 million for overseas orders.

The contracts include submarine propulsion batteries for South American navies and the company’s Armasafe Plus battery, which will be used in fighting vehicles with the armed services of Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Dutch Ministry of Defense placed an order for sealed recombination technology batteries after having used conventional flooded lead-acid batteries in its combat vehicles.

The German Army contract is a first for EnerSys and the U.K. Ministry of Defense agreement for EnerSys Armasafe Plus is an extension to an existing contract.
