EnerSys Wins Contracts Worth Over $20 Million
Industrial battery maker EnerSys Inc. has signed
contracts worth more than $20 million for overseas
orders.
The contracts include submarine propulsion batteries
for South American navies and the companys
Armasafe Plus battery, which will be used in fighting
vehicles with the armed services of Germany, the
Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
Dutch Ministry of Defense placed an order for
sealed recombination technology batteries after
having used conventional flooded lead-acid batteries
in its combat vehicles.
The German Army contract is a first for EnerSys
and the U.K. Ministry of Defense agreement for
EnerSys Armasafe Plus is an extension to an existing
contract.
