Hitachi Maxell Increases Production
By the spring of 2006, Hitachi Maxell Ltd. plans
to invest ¥2 billion to increase its monthly
lithium-ion battery production by 25%, reports
The Nikkei Weekly. The company will install
a new line at its Oyamazaki, Kyoto Prefecture,
Japan plant. Overall production capacity, including
facilities in China, will be 10.5 units per month.
