New CEO Expands EnerDel Management Team

Ener1’s lithium-ion battery subsidiary, EnerDel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has appointed Ulrik Grape as the company’s new CEO. He brings with him more than 18 years of experience in senior management, business development, manufacturing and finance. He received his B.A. in international politics and affairs from Georgetown University and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the French business school INSEAD

As one of his first duties as CEO, Grape appointed four key executives who will shape and develop EnerDel’s strategy of becoming a leading supplier of lithium-ion batteries to hybrid electric vehicle manufacturers: David Burns as EnerDel’s chief financial officer; Zenzo Hashimoto as chief technology officer; Naoki Ota as vice president, operations; and Ronald N. Stewart as executive vice president, general counsel and secretary.
