Cobasys Achieves Third 2005 Quality Certification

Cobasys of Orion, Michigan, is now among an elite group of battery companies to have met the demands for International Standard ISO 9001:2000 and TL 9000. TL 9000 has become a prerequisite to supply major telecommunications equipment and service providers.

Cobasys, supplier of advanced nickel metal-hydride energy storage solutions, has received three quality certifications within one year. The company had previously announced certification to ISO/TS 16949 which is the most advanced quality standard required to supply the automotive industry and registration to ISO-17025 which certifies testing and calibration labs.

Cobasys designs and manufactures advanced NiMH battery system solutions for transportation markets, including hybrid electric vehicles, electric vehicles and 42V applications, as well as stationary backup power supply systems for uninterruptible power supply.
