One Chip, One Cell Battery Charger
The AAT3687 from AnalogicTech is a one-chip single-cell
4.2V lithium-ion and polymer battery charger.
Designed for AC adapter inputs, charge current
can be programmed up to 1.5A and thermal management
regulates the charge at all ambient temperatures
and in-out differentials.
Charge termination and resumption is automatic,
and if power is removed, only a few microamps
are drawn from the battery.
Faulty cells are detected and status monitor output
pins directly drive two LEDs. A serial output
can report 12 charge states to a microcontroller.
The package is a Pb-free 12-pin 3x3mm TDFN.
