Fuji Heavy Unveils HEV that Uses Li-ion Battery

Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. has an electric minicar concept model that uses high-performance lithium-ion batteries. The automaker says this will help it compete against others in developing environmentally-friendly vehicles.

Fuji Heavy President Kyoji Takenaka said with the Subaru R1e model, Fuji Heavy is ready to challenge Toyota and other hybrid and fuel cell vehicle makers.
