Mitsubishi, TEPCO to Develop Electric Cars
Mitsubishi Motors Corp and Tokyo Electric Power
Co plan to form a partnership to develop electric
vehicles, the Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper
reports.
The minivehicle-sized cars under development are
to be charged from home electrical outlets directly
from the mains. The vehicles will be available
to consumers when Mitsubishi puts them on the
market in 2008.
