Daihatsu to Release Hybrid Commercial Minivehicle
Daihatsu Motor Co., of Osaka, Japan, is releasing
a minivehicle powered by an electric-gasoline
hybrid system, according to Kyodo News.
The four-seater, with collapsible back seats,
has an engine capacity of just under 660cc. It
is expected to improve carbon dioxide emissions
and fuel efficiency by 30% or more. Its suggested
retail price is about ¥2.22 million, more
than twice the price of gasoline models.
