Exide Awarded Contracts by German Army

Exide Technologies has been awarded two battery supply contracts by the German Army.

The company will supply approximately 15,000 units of its maintenance-free NATO bloc batteries to the German Army for military-vehicle applications. The 12V/100aHr gel batteries are scheduled for delivery in 2005. The batteries arel being produced at Exide’s manufacturing plants in Budingen and Bad Lauterberg, Germany.
