Nguna-Pele Selected as World Challenge Finalist
The Nguna-Pele Rechargeable Battery project has
been selected as a World Challenge finalist.
The World Challenge, in association with Shell,
is a competition aimed at finding individuals
or groups from around the world who have shown
enterprise and innovation at a grass roots level.
Supplying an island community with rechargable
batteries is a more economical way of meeting
their power needs and protects the coral reef
from the pollution caused by discarded batteries.
