Nissan Hopes to Sell 50K Hybrids Per Year
Nissan plans to sell 50,000 units per year of
the upcoming Altima hybrid, to be built either
in Smyrna, Tennessee, or Canton, Mississippi,
reports Automotive News.
Thats the number were looking
at, says Tadao Takahashi, Nissans
executive vice president in charge of global manufacturing.
Nissan needs to sell at least 50,000 hybrid
Altimas a year to help it meet U.S. standards
for corporate average fuel economy, says

The Altima will be powered using hybrid technology
