Rayovac Announces Personnel Changes
Rayovac North America President Lester Lee has
resigned, and Rayovac North America CEO Robert
L. Caulk will take over Lees duties.
Atlanta-based Rayovac Corp. said Lee joined the
company when it bought Remington Products LLP
in October 2003. There was no reason given for
Lees resignation.
The company plans to change its name to Spectrum
Brands Inc. to reflect its growth from a battery
company to a consumer products company. Its products
include Rayovac and Varta batteries, lighting
products, Remington electric shaving and grooming
and personal care products. Recently, Rayovac
expanded into the lawn and garden and specialty
pet supply categories by buying United Industries
Corp. of St. Louis for $1.2 billion.
