Happenings at House of Batteries

House of Batteries of Huntington Beach, California, has purchased a new 36,000 square-foot facility in Fountain Valley that quadruples the company’s manufacturing capacity. Relocation is planned for March 2005.

CEO Maggie Westaid also announces that House of Batteries has received 1SO9001:2000 quality certification and has hired Craig Lorey, a quality assurance manager with 30 years of experience.

“Our goal is to become the preferred battery supplier to major OEMs that are using cutting-edge battery technology,” Ms. Westaid says. “Quality is central to our growth plans. We spent four years on ISO9001:2000 certification. With the addition of Craig and the capacity of our new facility, our quality and manufacturing processes meet the specifications of the most demanding OEMs. We think that positions us for substantial growth over the next five years.”
